First, in the Portal's left sidebar, click on Assets to open the assets page (marked with an arrow below).

Here is our Asset list, circled below we see two buttons.
Request Asset - Create a New Asset Request.
Add Asset - Report an unaccounted Asset to the list we own.
My Assets page
After clicking on Request Asset, we simply select a category and add a comment to the manager, we can optionally ask for a specific model and manufacturer.
Then, we'll click on 'Send'.

On the Assets page, we can click on the Assets button to go between My Assets, and My Asset Requests.
