ETA

Estimated Time of Completion

Estimated Time of Completion (ETA) for document approval and sign cycle is set to 7 days by default for both approvers and recipients.

This timeframe can be adjusted according to your preferences.

It's essential to note that if there is no specified order for approval or signing, all approvers share the same timeframe, as do all recipients.

This feature provides flexibility in managing timelines based on your workflow needs.

After editing a Document, we'll click the 'Verify & Send' button (marked with an arrow below).

the Verify & Send button

Clicking it will bring out the ETA window.

By selecting "Change ETA for approvers" we can select how many days we allocate to the Approvers, and how many for the Recipients.

Once again, if we do not allocate a time frame manually, the default ETA is 7 days for each group.

enabling 'Change ETA' options

The ETA is the maximum amount of days allocated to a group, Approvers or Recipients.

If the first group, the Approvers, finished approving a file before the ETA is over, the file is sent immediately to the Recipients group.

For example, in the image above we can see that the approvers have 5 days to approve the Document, and the Recipients have 3 days.

If the Approvers all approve the Document on the second day, and the Recipients all take two days to sign it as well, the File will be Complete within 4 days.

the maximum amount was 8 days for both groups together, but by finishing their tasks ahead of ETA, the file goes to the next stage the moment the earlier stage is complete.

ETA Division

In a custom approval order, each approver and signing staff member gets their own time (ETA).

The countdown begins when the document reaches them, ensuring a step-by-step process.

This is different from the default where everyone shares one countdown.

In the image below, there's an Approver and an Approver Group, followed by two Recipients without a custom order.

If we choose the default ETA of 7 days, the first Approver gets 7 days, then the Approver Group, and finally, both Recipients share 7 days to sign the document.

In total, all parties have a maximum of 21 days (3 steps of 7 days each by default) and can complete the approval and signing process on the same day if they act promptly.

the Approvers are listed by order, the Recipients, lacking Order, share their ETA
